The first meetup of vr/ar extending reality Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan

About artificial intelligence and virtual reality today does not just say lazy. However, most knowledge remains at the level of Pokemon Go and attractions in the Mall.

That is why the student club Neobis, together with ACM SIGGRAPH International Resources Committee (IRC), Unity Technologies and DevCIT organized the first meeting of VR/AR EXtending Reality Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan, dedicated to the creation of a single discussion platform among developers and fans of modern technologies, as well as the positioning and monetization of products in the field of virtual reality.

Do you know the difference between AR and VR? That’s what we talked about at the meeting!

VR (virtual reality) blocks the real world and immerses the user in the digital universe. You put on a headset and instead of the living room suddenly find yourself in the thick of a fight with a zombie-it’s VR.

AR (augmented reality) adds elements of the digital world to the real world. You walk down the street and suddenly, on the sidewalk in front of you there is a pokemon Dragonair.

Throughout the meetup, the guys could personally participate in the demonstration of various VR/AR devices, games, programs and videos. Everyone was able to plunge into the world of virtual reality. And the most active we presented gifts!

Grow with us and Neobis!
